- Description
- Project YTPM 03-1002, Emergency Repair Fuel Hydrant System consists of (1) remove/demolish eight fuel hydrant risers, (2) replace four risers with new piping and outfitted with new fiberglass liners, (3) two outlets will be bypassed via welding straight pipe and (4) replace all removed concrete to match existing conditions. Project YTPM 00-1002, Replace Hydrant Adapters consists of (1) providing 30 hydrant fuel adapters, (2) removing and replacing all adapters using all new hardware and (3) pressure testing each outlet after repair completion. Both projects will be issued in one solicitation and only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This requirement is being solicited in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The small business size standard applicable to the project is $12,000,000.00 and the NAICS (North American Industrial Classification System) Code is 238990. Bid issue will be 31 July 2003 with a due date for receipt of bids on 5 September 2003. Performance period will be 250 calendars after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Of the 250 calendar days, there will be an exclusionary work period between 15 November 2003 through 31 March 2004. The estimated cost of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. All requests to be placed on the bidders mailing list must be submitted by mail, fax or e-mail, telephone requests will not be honored. A complete copy of the solicitation will be provided on a CD-ROM disc, paper copies of the solicitation documents will not be provided.
