- 16?Overhaul KC135 Cylinder. This is a requirement to overhaul the KC135 Cylinder. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment, and all material to accomplish the overhaul, test, packing, preservation and packaging. A firm fixed price Requirement type contract with four option years is contemplated. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Overhaul, NSN 1650-01-083-3837, P/N:65-20892-17; NSN: 1650-00-020-7517, P/N: 65-20892-9; NSN 1650-00-874-6337, 65-20892-5; 1650-01-177-4376, 65-20892-13; Basic Year Qty: 29 each; Option I: 29 each; Option II: 29 each; Option III: 29 each; Option IV: 29 each; Item 0002: Over and Above, As Required; Item 0003: Data and Reports, IAW DD Form 1423 Destination: To Be Determined by PMS). Deliveries: 10 each per month, starting 30 Days ARO and reparable. Qualification Requirements apply. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 31 Jul 03. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR 52.209-1. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
