- Description
- Work to be performed will consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the Ventilation System Upgrades at the East Building of the NOAA Fisheries - Northwest Fisheries Science Center, 2725 Montlake Blvd. East, Seattle, WA. Ventilation system upgrades include replacement of 30 roof mounted fume hood exhaust fans and discharge stacks; removal of and selected disposal of 34 existing laboratory fume hoods and cabinetry; installation of 34 Government furnished low flow fume hoods and cabinetry; addition of general exhaust air ductwork; HVAC system control modifications; rebalancing of entire building airflow to establish airflow, exhaust and pressurization; and including a limited amount of architectural repair. The plans and specifications utilize the International System of Units (SI) metric equivalent measurements. Project completion time is estimated to be 180 calendar days after notice to proceed. Estimated construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation will be available on or about July 31, 2003. Specifications and Drawings will be made available, at no charge, on CDROM from the DOC/NOAA/WASC, address listed above. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available only over the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Prospective offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). through the Government's website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
