- ***NOTE: This notice is NOT a solicitation. The solicitation HAS NOT yet been issued. It will not be issued until after 31 July 2003. Once issued, the solicitation will provide a closing date, usually 2-4 weeks after the issue date.*** RFQ is for the purchase of 8,600 yards of Cloth, Waterproof, Weather Resistant, Any Acceptable Thickness, Green Fed-Std-595 Shade 34087, Aromatic Hydrocarbon Fluid, Oil & Weather Resistant, Waterproof, 39 In Width, Type II, Class 2. The Cloth Shall Conform To The Requirements Of MIL-PRF-20696F, Dated September 1997, NSN 8305-00-616-0022. This buy will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. One delivery to Albany, GA commencing 120 days after date of award is required. Numbered notes 1, 9, and 26 apply. This item was last purchased on 02/08/00 @ $2.54 per yard for 9,438 yards. The military specification for these items is MIL-PRF-20696F and can be accessed via the ASSIST website at http://assist2.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/. In the box entitled Document ID, type the specification number exactly as it appears and click on Submit. Follow the instructions on each page. Click on the most recent edition of the specification. The specification will be in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home AFTER 31 July 2003. From the Gateway home page, select Search RFQs from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. Amendments to this solicitation WILL NOT be available via the Gateway. In order to receive notification of amendments to this solicitation you must E-MAIL the Contract Specialist, listed below under Point of Contact, with the name and address of prospective offeror, phone and fax number and a point of contact. Please reference solicitation number in all e-mail correspondence. An unsuccessful offer may result if prospective offeror FAILS to e-mail the Contract Specialist of their intent to offer on this solicitation. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs. The Gateway will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFQ solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012 and specialty metals (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
