Description
NA **ATTENTION** FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUSITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO AMSAM-AC-LM-P, ATTN: KIM GILLIES, CONTRACT SPECIALIST. 256-842-6217. YOU MAY FAX OR MAIL YOUR REQUEST (FAX NUMBER 256-955-9237). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. RFP will be issued to Raytheon Systems Co., 2000 E. El Segundo Bldg E01, El Segundo, CA 90245-0902. This contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Due to urgency, we intend to release a letter contract immediately and do not intend to allow a 30 day period for receipt of proposals; therefore, companies are encouraged to express their interest immediately. Suggest that small business firms o r others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with this procurement contact the above listed firm. Foreign firms are reminded that all requestes for soliciation must be processed through their respective embassies. A technical data pa ckage, which defines all engineering and quality requirements, is not available. Adequate drawing, specifications, or other technical data are not available for this procurement and will not be furnished. All responsible sources may submit a proposal whi ch shall be considered by this agency. This proposed action shall result in the repair/rebuild of 26 assets, plus options if required, as stated below. The contractor, as an independent contractor and not as an agent or employee of the Government, shall at the time and in the manner specified w itin the SOW, provide the capability to restore items received at the contractor's repair facility from Army depots and/or from Army units to fully operational and serviceable condition, by furnishing all necessary supplies, materials, equipment, spare and repair parts, except as otherwise furnished by the Government, that will be required to receive, inspect, disassemble, repair, modify to the most current configuration, reassemble, maintain and perform acceptance tests to deliver repaired BFVS BELRF Trans ceiver Assemblies. Upon completion of repair and upgrade, serviceable items shall meet the requirements of the technical data package, applicable drawings, all approved Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and quality assurance provisions.
