Description
The United States Marine Corps (USMC), Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Battle Space Management and Air Defense Radar Systems (BMADS) Program Manager (PM) will hold a full and open competition for a Radar Environmental Simulator (RES). The RES will be operated and maintained by Marine Corps maintenance personnel without the use of Engineering or Technical services to support the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF). The RES will initially be required to work with the AN/TPS-59(V)3 radar with options to expand capabilities to work with other USMC MAGTF radars (e.g., AN/TPS-63, Air Surveillance and Precision Approach Radar Control System (ASPARCS), Multi-Role Radar System (MRRS), Highly Expeditionary Long Range Air Surveillance Radar (HELRASR), Ground Weapons Locating Radar, and the AN/TPQ-46(A). The USMC RES program directly supports projects with the Missile Defense Agency and other DoD agencies and foreign military sales programs. Contractors may read (only) the current AN/TPS-59 (V)3 Operational Requirements Document (ORD), draft 3DELRR ORD (follow on to the AN/TPS-59 (V)3 Radar-HELRASR), draft MRRS ORD, AN/TPQ-46 ORD or the current RES’s B2 specification at Anteon Corporation Stafford Operations Center I, 1229 Garrisonville Road, Suite 101, Garrisonville, Virginia 22556 by coordinating a visit request in advance with Ms. Lisa Herbst at (540) 658-1335 x 2237. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract for a quantity of 3, with options for: 1) additional quantities (FFP); 2) Engineering and Technical Services (Cost Plus); and 3) Logistics support (Cost Plus), to the successful offeror. A formal solicitation will be posted NLT 6 June 2003. Proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. on 7 July 2003, to: Commander, Marine Corps Systems Command, ATTN: (BMADS) Ms. Loretta C.
