- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-03-G-0004 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, to provide additional development and testing of a modified FCC operation flight program for the F/A-18A/B/C/D fleet aircraft in accordance with ECP-0595C1. McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft, and is the only know firm possessing adequate existing knowledge, facilities, tooling, and special test equipment to provide the engineering support required to perform the modification of the FCC program on the F/A-18 aircraft in a timely manner.
