Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in solicitation. For Contractor?s convenience separately attached is SF-1449, Solicitation, Contract, Order for Commercial Items and incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through FAC-01-14. The applicable NAICS is 423490; size standard is 500 employees. The USDA Forest Service intends to purchase (1) LI-6400R Portable Fluorescence and Gas Exchange System Package (Or Equal) which includes the following: (1) LI-6400 Portable Photosynthesis; (1) 6400-40 Fluorescence Attachment; (1) 6400-01 CO2 Injector System; (1) 6400-02B Red/Blue LED Light Source; (1) 9901-013 Quantum Sensor 8 Inch Cable; (1) 9964-037 12MG CO2 Cylinders, 25 per pack. QTY of 3 packs and accessory items included with LI-6400 Instrument. Contractor is to include discounts, warranties, packing and shipping costs and information. Equipment will be shipped to USDA Forest Service, 11 Campus Blvd., Ste 200 Newtown Square, PA 19073. Contractor?s submitting an EQUAL product need to provide by the closing date enough information for the government to evaluate proposed system. It is important that the system is most advanced design for measuring exchange of carbon dioxide and water vapor in plants. It is important that the system combines temperature control, CO2 control, light control, and fluorescence measurements. It is important that fluorescence measurement is done simultaneously, at the head of the instrument, in conjunction with other photosynthetic parameters.
