- Description
- The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Information Systems Services Division, Hardware/Software Branch (DITCO/AQSS31), 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB IL 62225-5406, intends to issue a sole source contract to Computer Associates (CA) International, Inc., 12120 Sunset Hills Road, Reston, VA 20190. This contract shall provide software maintenance for all CA software supporting applications transmitted to or processed by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Enterprise. The software products and documentation covered under this contract and its price schedules are for the express purpose of supporting DISA customers to include Federal, State and Local Government Agencies, the Department of Defense, the Military Services, and Defense Agencies. Software maintenance will be procured for software products that have been purchased or are currently being leased. These software products are proprietary to CA and third party maintenance is not authorized. These products are currently integrated into operating system environments such as Operating System/390 (OS/390), Virtual Machine (VM), Virtual Storage Extended (VSE), Advanced Interaction Executive (AIX), Interconnect Control Program (ICP), Universal Timesharing Systems (UTS), and UNIX, Tandem, SUN, and MS Windows NT/2000 platforms at DISA managed facilities. This acquisition allows for the inclusion of maintenance services for additional software products purchased via separate contracting actions after contract award. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Companies who can provide the software maintenance and documentation must request a copy of the request for proposal not later than COB 24 Jul 2003 from the following e-mail address: haakej@scott.disa.mil. Period of performance will be one base year plus four option years (60 months). The resultant contract shall be firm fixed price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity.
