Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to identify U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Certified HUBZONE small business firms capable of providing all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to install a new metal roof and siding system over the existing panels at Bldg. 87, ARSC Hangar, USCG Support Center Elizabeth City, NC. Major work items include: Design and installation of new pre-finished metal building panels including new subframing or furring over the existing deteriorated metal roof and siding. This includes new fascias, flashings, and closure trims and new matching gutters and downspouts. The existing panels are coated with a material that has been tested and determined to contain asbestos. These panels may commonly be known as ?Galbestos.? Special handling procedures are required; Contractor shall employ and pay for services of asbestos compliance monitoring and clearance testing; and, Work also includes the installation or relocation of new or existing light fixtures and other miscellaneous building mounted items, the installation of new man doors and frames in the existing hangar doors, and preparation and re-painting of the existing hangar doors and miscellaneous existing rooftop equipment. The NAICS for this project is 238160 with a Small Business Size Standard of $12.0 million. Vendors interested in performing this requirement are invited to provide the following information to USCG CEU Cleveland no later than July 17, 2003. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(a) or any other set aside arrangement as deemed appropriate for this procurement.
