- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a commercial Request for Quotes (RFQ) for dry dock repairs of the USCGC KATMAI BAY (WTGB-101), a 140 foot Ice Breaking Tug. The Coast Guard intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The acquisition will be issued as a best value Request for Quotes (RFQ), on or about 21 July 03 with quotes due on or about 11 August 03. Past Performance, Price and Technical Factors will be used to evaluate quotes. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) web page at www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via U.S. mail if requested. Send all requests via email to lromano@mlca.uscg.mil. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPPS also contains an optional automatic notification service. The standard industrial classification code is 3731 and the NAICS is 336611. All work will be performed at the contractor?s facility. The performance period will be 14 calendar days with a start date on or about 4 SEP 03. The vessel?s home pier is Sault Ste Marie, MI. The place of performance for this vessel is geographically restricted to the Great Lakes in accordance with homeport policy COMDTINST 3100.5. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dry dock repairs including but not limited to the following Base Items: Preserve Transducer Hull Ring, Preserve Underwater Body, Provide Temporary Logistics, Routine Drydocking and GFP Report in accordance with solicitation. Option items include but are not limited to the following: Additional Temporary Logistics, Composite Labor and Lay Days.
