- Description
- USAID/Dominican Republic?s 2002-2007 Country Strategy for Education counts on private sector contributions towards the improvement of Basic Education in public schools. The ultimate goal of the strategy is to promote an increase in the quantity and quality of interactions among the school, its surrounding community, and local/national organizations interested in the educational process. The full impact of USAID programs in public schools can only be determined through a careful monitoring and evaluation plan that will track differences in learning in that student population benefiting from such programs. The USAID/DR Mission would like to receive proposals from qualified organizations in response to the need for a Monitoring and Evaluation system for selected schools that should include, but not be limited to: ? educational testing to determine changes in learning outcomes; ? evaluations of substantive community involvement in school-related activities; ? application of survey instruments for opportunities to learn; ? on-going assessments of the policy environment directly conducive to enhanced private sector involvement in public education; and ? active collaboration in monitoring and evaluation between the Ministry of Education and private institutions involved in education.
