- Description
- The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is planning a Direct Conversion with Cost Comparison Study of Soil Conservation Technician Services at various locations in Southwest Virginia. These services are currently being provided by Government personnel. Major components of the work include: basic conservation planning services, field investigations and topographic surveys, inventories of soils, livestock, water resources, collection of data for planning, design and construction of soil and water conservationi practices and providing construction quality assurance during construction of these conservation practices. The services provided include explaining applicable USDA NRCS programs and working cooperatively with local soil and water conservation district staff and other partner agencies. Prospective offerors are advised that a contract may not be awarded if the cost of contract performance is determined to be greater than the cost of in-house performance by Government personnel. The NAICS Code is 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
