- Description
- The U.S. Department of State, Regional Procurement Support Office and the U.S. Embassy, San Salvador, are seeking qualified offerors for construction of a Container Inspection Facility to be located in El Amatillo, El Salvador. The project consists of construction of two single-story, reinforced steel-framed concrete buildings and the construction of dog kennels. One of the buildings will be divided into office space and warehouse space, and the other building will be barracks including restroom facilities. The office space will be partitioned into separate offices, and will require central air conditioning, hanging florescent lighting, and appropriate electrical and telephone outlets. The approximate size of the two buildings and dog kennels is 745.52 square meters. The office/warehouse building will include a ramp for off loading merchandise for inspection. The project also entails site preparation and civil works to accommodate site utilities, storm drainage and sewage. The solicitation is planned for release to qualified offerors on or about July 23, 2003. The estimated construction performance period is five months from contract execution to substantial completion. The resulting contract type shall be firm-fixed price, and the estimated value of construction is $300,000 (U.S.).
