- Description
- This project consists of construction of tenant improvements to an existing lease space within a warehouse building. Approximately 97,000 square foot USPS leased facility, 7601 Bluewater NW Street, Albuquerque, NM 87121-1954. The work includes but is not limited to demolition, site improvements, paving, concrete column footings, structural steel framing, interior finish out, sectional overhead doors, electrical, hvac, fire protection, security system, cable tray, storefront and glazing. The estimated cost range for the project is between $500,000.00 and $800,000.00. Phase I includes: New restrooms, battery room, tool storage room, criminal investigative offices, overhead doors, exterior lighting, ornamental fence, concrete apron, hazard striping on asphalt and CCTV/ cable tray as coordinated. Phase II includes: New administration offices, south entry vestibule, re-keying the exterior doors, security film at all glazing, massonite at the demising wall and security bars at the skylights. This is a 24 Hour a day facility with phased construction required-NO CONSTRUCTION WILL BE ALLOWED BETWEEN NOVEMBER 15, 2003 AND JANUARY 1, 2004. PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE: To be held on Tuesday July 15, 2003 at 10:00 am at the job site, 7601 Bluewater NW Street. All interested contractors are urged to attend. Award will be made to the responsible offeror who submits the best combination of Technical Proposal, and Cost Proposal and other factors considered. The primary areas to be used in determining which proposal is most advantageous to the Postal Service are listed below: 1. Past Performance and 2. Capability of Contractor. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor should attempt to subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% and subcontract with woman-owned business firms in an amount not less than 7% of the total value of its subcontracts. Offeror must include documentation from bonding agent indicating offeror?s capability at the time offer is due. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:00 p.m. on July 28, 2003. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on July 7, 2003 at a cost of $75.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money order only. Requests for packages shall be forwarded to Dallas Facilities Service Office, U.S. Postal Service, P.O. Box 667180, Dallas, TX 75266-7180, Attn: Kathleen Alonzo, Telephone: 214/819-7201. Checks or money orders must be made payable to DISBURSING OFFICER, USPS. Since this is a request for proposals, offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of offeror will not be disclosed.
