- Description
- The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), a self-sustaining agency of the U.S. Government, is a seeking an Emerging Markets Private Equity Investment Consultant(s) to assist the Agency's Investment Funds Department in designing as many as three funds. OPIC is considering development of new Funds that will focus on the OPIC eligible countries in the following three regions: 1) Latin America; 2) South and East Asia; 3) Latin America, with a significant emphasis on Mexico. Each of the Fund's geographic focus can be subject to change. OPIC expects that each Fund's total target capital may range in size from $100-200 million, subject to change. OPIC's debt participation in each Fund may range from 33%-45% of each Fund's initial target capital, but is not expected to exceed $100 million in any one Fund. Prospective consultants will be asked to respond with a proposal that addresses any combination of the three Funds. Special consideration will be given to those firms with a broad and extensive roster of clients, including public, corporate and institutional investors, staff experienced in evaluating private equity and emerging markets, a proven rigorous and disciplined due diligence process, research capability which includes access to relevant benchmark data and an appreciation for the multiple legal and business environments relevant to fund management.
