- NA The Army requires a contract to provide on-call maintenance and repair requirements to the railroad system at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. The exact performance period shall be specified in each delivery order. The work shall include but not to be limite d to: repair joints, adjust rail point gaps, respike joints, replace spot bolt assemblies, furnish and install rail anchors, furnish and install rail bonds, furnish and install rail grounds, regauge tack, tighten joint bolts, plug and respike ties, surface and align out-of-rail (skim lift), furnish and place ballast, replace out-of-face cross ties (7 inch grade), replace cross ties (spot) (7 inch grade), furnish and install tie plates, clean road crossing flangeways, adjust switches and turnouts, replace sw itch ties (spot), remove and replace frongs (number 8), furnish and install switch stands, furnish and install switch points, furnish and install shoulder bars, furnish and install pointer lever latches, insulate joints, furnish or install track bumpers, a nd furnish and install rail (number 115). This requirement is solicited on an unrestricted basis under NAICS 237990. The small business size standard for this NAICS is $28.5M. Interested parties are highly encouraged to attend a site visit. Date and time f or site visit will be set forth in the solicitation. Interested parties are also reminded that performance and payment bonds, equal to 100% of the contract price will be required after award of the contract. The estimated magnitude of this project is betwe en $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This solicitation will be posted on the Internet only. No hard copies will be available.
