Description
APPROXIMATE ISSUE DATE: August 1, 2003 Contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment to repair and install roll up door covers over the rail location and to improve sealing the area off from weather, all work shall take place at building 2211,2212 and 2213 at Hill AFB Utah. Repair the concrete dock & steel reinforcement as required, repair the rail mating pieces, and grout the rail at buildings 2211, 2212, and 2213. Replace the damaged concrete and angle iron edge, remove the rails, reach or and shim the rails, replace the damaged rail mating sections, regrout with 5 star non-shrink grout, regrind bottom of the rails and realign the rails to the MM Rail tolerances. The following procedures will be followed. Remove all concrete grout, bolts and shims from under the rails on the docks of each building. Each building has four bays with two rails each. The supports in question are approximately 6 ft long by 12 inches wide and 6 inches in height. Shims will be replaced or reused and bolts replaced with new. Bolts must fasten to the existing dock slab. High strength concrete grout will be used to set the rails in place. Rails must be installed within the required vertical and horizontal tolerances. It is expected that repairs are possible without removal. The rails extend from the docks into the building and would be very difficult to remove. In addition to the rail supports, several areas on the dock and dock support beams need surface repairs & verification of steel reinforcement and integrity of structure. All area of delaminated concrete shall be sandblasted to remove loose concrete. High strength Shot Crete or equal material will be applied to patch any vertical areas needing repair. Use a high strength concrete to repair dock surfaces. Any edge angel that is excessively warped or damaged will be removed and replaced. Place of contract performance: Hill AFB, UT.
