- Description
- It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to procure professional services on a sole source basis with Costabile Associates, Bethesda, MD, to continue services currently being provided by the contractor under purchase order number 467-MZ-301213. The contractor will continue to provide core cataloging services related to History of Medicine Historical Audiovisuals Program. Costabile Associates has experience in cataloging films for the Technical Services Division, National Library of Medicine, as well as, archivally cataloging historical French, German, and Russian films in the Historical Audiovisuals Program. Subsequent to the award of this purchase order, the Historical Audiovisuals Program has determined that additional funds, time and effort are needed in order for the contractor to expand the core cataloging project. Introducing a new contractor at this point in time would add significant amount of training time, government coordination, and therefore, cost to the government. The proposed acquisition will be procured under FAR Part 12 - Commercial Items. This is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available, however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the NLM. Firms interested in responding to this notice must be able to provide service as specified above. Responses must be in writing and must be received in this office within fifteen (15) calendar days from publication date of this notice, and must include pricing information and meet the criteria requirement.
