Description

CDC is seeking an offeror to work with scientists at its contracting sites, other subject matter experts and CDC scientists to perform studies to test the effectiveness of AIG in a rodent model, specifically in Fischer 344 rats. The study will assess whether AIG administered both prior to and after lethal toxin injection can protect rats from development of disease, or delay time to moribundity. The successful offeror should show evidence that proposed personnel have the appropriate qualifications, background and direct relevant experience in the design and implementation of pre-clinical animal infectious disease challenge studies using the rodent model to perform the described tasks, including providing detailed CVs; experience with B. anthracis lethal toxin challenge is desirable, but not required. In addition, provide detailed evidence that proposed personnel have successfully performed these specific functions for other organizations in the recent past. It will be advantageous for offerors to have an established network of subject matter expertise that can be applied to this project.
