- Description
- The Forest Service will be accepting proposals for a dam removal and road outsloping. Work includes, but is not limited to; clearing, excavation, hauling and placing excavated material, road reconditioning, installing of CMPs, removal of CMPs, placing of riprap, seeding and mulching. THIS IS A JOBS-IN-THE-WOODS (JITW) PROJECT, funded by JITW money. JITW's projects are legislatively restricted to the following counties: Washington: Okanogan, Douglas, Chelan, Kititas, Yakima, Klickitat, Skamania, Clark, Cowlitz, Wahkaikum, Pacific, Lewis, Pierce, Thurston, Grays Harbor, Mason, Jefferson, Kitsap, Clallam, Island, San Juan, King, Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom; Oregon: Wasco, Jefferson, Deschutes, Lake, Klamath, Jackson, Josephine, Curry, Coos, Douglas, Lane, Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Marion, Yamhill, Polk, Clackamas, Multnomah, Hood River, Tillamook, Washington, Columbia, and Clatsop: California: Siskiyou, Shasta, Tehama, Glenn, Lake, Trinity, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Mendocino. LOCATION: The project area is located on the Salmon River Ranger District of the Klamath National Forest in Siskiyou County. From Yreka proceed south and west on State Highway 3 (Fort Jones Road) to Callahan and the junction with County Road 2E001A (the Callahan Cecilville Road). Proceed south and west on 2E001A to Cecilville. Proceed west on County Road 2C02 to the junction with Forest Road 38N17 at Matthews Creek Camp Ground (Matthews Creek Road). Proceed north on 38N17 approximately 2.7 miles to the lower dam site..CONTRACT TIME is 60 days. Estimated Solicitation estimated issue date is July 14, with estimated due date of July 25. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website for viewing and printing.
