- Description
- The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC intends to solicit for the Computer Modelling of Melt Cast Cooling and Solidification Processes for Explosives. This is a two phase effort. The first pahse is to develop a computer simulation model of solidification of melted explosives in various small scale molds using data collected from melt cast facility building 230. The second phase will be to use the simulation model to full scale explosive production processes, in various metal parts and configurations in building 810 that will give finished projectiles of required cast quality and be able to predict loading and cooling parameters of various explosives and projectiles configuration.
