- The U. S. Department of Energy will conduct a competitive procurement for Information Technology services in support of Science, Environmental Management and National Nuclear Security Administration programs in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The procurement will cover a broad spectrum of IT services including but not limited to network monitoring and administration, configuration management, helpdesk user support, and management of intranet/internet content. Information Technology services in support of these programs are currently subcontracted by the management and integration contractor, Bechtel Jacobs Company, LLC, and the management and operating contractors, BWXT Y-12, LLC, and UT-Battelle, LLC. All of the current subcontracts are scheduled to expire by November 30, 2003. The procurement strategy includes making three prime contract awards. The Department will limit the competition to small business contractors. An information meeting and teaming workshop is being planned for later this month.
