Description

The Metallurgy Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) plans to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to JP Sercel Associates, Inc., Hollis, NH, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The object of this requirement is to provide services for the refurbishment/upgrade of a Model 205i, Lambda Physik Nova Tube, S/N 9607F3093 to include a complete laser chassis refurbishment. JP Sercel Associates, Inc. is the only source for this service as they have provided extensive customized alterations to this equipment since it was purchased is September 1990. They have also provided custom proprietary slide valve mirror mounts to improve serviceability. The NAICS code is 811219 with a size standard of $6.0M. The anticipated award date of this order is on or about ten days from the date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Interested persons may identify their intent and capability to respond to this requirement no later than the response date above. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
