- Description
- The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Contractor to provide technical services in support of the investigation of the Station nightclub fire in West Warwick, Rhode Island on the night of February 20, 2003. The objectives of this requirement focus on reviewing modelbuilding and fire codes to: (1) determine the criteria and requirements that governed the design, construction, and modification of the structural and fire safety systems of the Station nightclub at the time these activities were undertaken; (2) identify substantive and relevant differences among these historical requirements and provisions of current national model building and fire codes; and (3) document the practices and procedures used for the operation, maintenance of, and modifications to structural and fire protection systems. Details of this requirement will be provided in the solicitation. The requirement will be for a period of four (4) months. Award of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order is anticipated. FAR Part 13.5 "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items" will apply to this requirement. It is anticipated that a single solicitation will be issued on or about May 29, 2003 at www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation, all amendments and any questions and answers to the solicitation will be posted to FEDBIZOPPS and are totally the responsibility of the Offeror. No mailing lists will be kept and no hard copy of the RFQ will be available. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (19-MAY-2003).
