Description

DESCRIPTION: The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with RocTest to acquire fiber optic piezometers and associated equipment. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The proposed action is for supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Firms that believe they can provide the required items and services described above are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Firms believing they can provide similar required items and services must provide supporting evidence that they can furnish the supplies identified above in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent=s ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responses received within 5-days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will be accepted by FAX at (303) 445-6345, or by email to Bill Holbert: bholbert@do.usbr.gov . Responses should include the firm=s Dun and Bradstreet number (DUNS) and Tax Identification Number (TIN.) Firms should identify themselves as either small business, or other than small business, in accordance with the size standard for North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) 334513, which is 500 employees. The following Federal Acquisition Regulations shall apply: 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5. The award shall be based on a firm-fixed price for the items described above. All shipping shall be FOB-Destination Denver Federal Center, Denver, CO.
