- Description
- Purchase the Spectra-Physics Millenia/Tsunami/Opallaser System. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). The proposed source is Specta- Physics Lasers, Inc, Mountain View, CA. The items being procured are a Millennia X-s-J Diode Pumped Solid State Laser with the following options: Neslab rack mountable chiller, rack kit, Tsunami Pump accessory kit, Model 3941- X1S, Mode-Locked Tsunami Ti:Sapphire Laser with Femtosecond configuration,Opal- 1.5, Synchronously Pumped Parametric Oscillator for the Tsunami Ti:sapphire Laser, and an Opal-PPO optic, mounts, and Brewster window. This equipment meets the Government?s minimum requirement of producing 130-femtosecond pulses of optical radiation at wavelengths up to 2.6 microns and producing less than 200-femtosecond pulses at greater than 1.8 micron wavelengths. This synopsis is being published for information purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the government will consider any quotations received within 10 days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
