- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia intends to award a sole source contract to The Department of Preventive Medicine, Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The purpose of this contract is to implement and evaluate the ?Partnership for Health? (PfH) safer-sex intervention at six HIV clinics participating in a CDC-funded study (?Study to Understand the Natural History of HIV and AIDS [SUN]?). The contractor will work with the SUN principal investigators, project coordinators, and CDC investigators in implementing, overseeing, and evaluating the PfH safer-sex intervention at six HIV clinics in the U.S. (one in Denver, CO; one in St. Louis, MO; one in Providence, RI; and three in Minneapolis, MN). The intervention will be evaluated with data collected every six months from patients enrolled in the SUN cohort. The performance period will be four years from date of contract award.
