- Description
- The purpose of this contract is to reconstruct two segments of roadway. One at km 4.35 road 8330-000 (46 meters in length) and the other at km 0.41 road 8337-000 (30 meters in length). The work items include: excavating into the cut bank to reestablish the 6.5 meter road subgrade and ditch line, end hauling the unsuitable excavation, placement of a 0.6m deep base course of borrow excavation with a finished traveled way width of 4.3m and the installation of a culvert. The project area is located 30 miles North East of Ketchikan, Alaska. Shelter Cove is located along the west side of Carroll Inlet and can be accessed only by boat or seaplane. There is an existing ramp for unloading equipment and a Forest Service walk on dock that connects to the road system. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 60 calendar days. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about July 16, 2003 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation KTN-03-43. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages.
