Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment and expertise necessary to complete all work in accordance with contract specifications for life safety renovations which include but are not limited to: a) Fire Pump replacement; b) Sprinkler System modifications; c) Sealing of various openings; d) Provide smoke purge systems; and e) Replacement of fire alarm system. Project is located at Metropolitan Correctional Center, located at New York, New York, New York county. A firm fixed-price contract award is anticipated with a completion period of 365 calendar days. The requirement is open to small businesses only, all responsible sources are encouraged to submit a quote that will be considered for award. Estimated price magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Security investigations/clearances is required. Solicitation number is IFB 21451-0027. The solicitation will be available on or after April 30, 2003, and will be distributed through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available except in extreme circumstances AND only if issuance in this maner is determined to be in the Government's best interest. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
