One (1) Heavy Duty Megabar Rodan Motor Truck Scale, 60 ton (120,000 lb) dual tandem axle capacity, three (3) section, arranged for a 40' x 11' factory poured 10,000 psi concrete platform. One complete bill of three (3) factory poured modules, six (6) stainless steel hermetically sealed load cells with mounting assemblies, approach ramp coping, pit coping, foundation hardware, grounding rods, and surge voltage protection for load cell isolation. ? Standard prep and paint process for this unit has all steel cleaned to an SSPC finish and coated with one (1) minimum 3 mil coat of Robinson Coatings 14-R-50 Epoxy Modified Primer and one (1) minimum 3 mil coat of Robinson Coatings 12-G-428 Rodan Grey Epoxy Modified Alkyd Enamel for a minimum total thickness of 6 mils. ? Digital Weight Indicator with INTALOGIX technology, self-diagnostics and modem support for calibration assistance, scale analysis and basic maintenance. Unit is housed in NEMA 12 enclosure for environmental protection, and surge protection is enhanced via optical isolation. Instrument includes In/Out and Full Length Axlematic software for automatic (attended) printing of individual axle weights and total. Additionally, instrument is modified to accept, print and store a 17-character TCN number. ? One (1) Document Printer with Accessory 16157 Interconnecting Cable to record time, date, TCN, Aircraft Number, individual axle weights and total weight on a scale ticket/shipping document. ? One (1) Form Printer for generating reports of TCN and Aircraft numbers from scale instruments Transaction Record Files. ? One (1) Traffic Control Signal to alert driver when to reposition vehicle on scale for recording the next in a series of axle weights. Control Light will include one (1) Automatic Control Relay Box to signal light change from unattended station. ? One (1) Keyboard for entering 17 character TCN to be recorded on scale ticket and stored in the instrument Transaction Files. 2. Construction and Installation Services: ? Supplier shall provide all labor (non-union) materials and equipment necessary to saw cut and demolish up to 5" of existing concrete for foundation construction, and haul spoils off property. ? Supplier shall excavate (in free soil only), form and pour a 40'x11' reinforced shallow pit concrete foundation using surrounding concrete for approach and exit from the scale. ? Scale foundation will include a sump hole and discharge sleeve for water drainage to storm sewer system on either side of intended site location. ? Construction services includes trenching, and placing up to 10 feet of conduit from platform to building and patch back. Up to 20 feet of additional conduit will be installed on the inside of the building from the point of entry to intended location of the instrument, printers and traffic relay control box. ? Supplier will install the mounting assemblies, load cells, and megabar concrete deck modules. ? Supplier will install the instrument/printers in an existing climate controlled cargo/security building provide by others. ? Supplier will install the traffic control relay and mount the traffic control light on the outside wall of the cargo/passenger facility. ? Certified technicians will test, adjust and calibrate the scale to specified Georgia Department of Weights and Measures criteria. 3. Customer Responsibilities: ? Building Permits (if required) ? Soils with a minimum bearing capacity of 1500 psf after concrete removal ? Provide area free of any underground or overhead obstructions ? Provisions and installation of sump pump for water discharge from scale pit ? Provisions of AC power in scale pit for pump operation ? Provision of climate controlled cargo/security building with dedicated 110 VAC power for scale instrument/printers/traffic control relay. 4. Warranty: ? All parts are warranted for one (1) year from date of installation against defects in materials or workmanship, to include damage from surge currents. ? All on-site labor costs are included during the warranty period with customer invoiced for truck and travel charges only after the first 30 days in service. ? Quoted price shall include a warranty of five (5) years from date of installation. __________________________________________________________________ General Specifications for Air Cargo Axle/Truck Scale System Axle/Truck Scale The scale shall be of a modular configuration utilizing a truss supported system with on overall size of 40'x11'. The total structure shall be designed to support a 60,000 lb dual tandem axle with axles on four-foot centers, and off set to one side of the module. The maximum deflection shall not exceed 1/900th of span and the bending stress in any member shall not exceed 20,000psi. The deck surface shall be concrete with a micro-silica additive formulated to provide a surface with high impact resistance, high abrasion resistance and low permeability from infiltration of water. The concrete shall have a nominal strength of 10,000psi, and shall be precast at the scale factory and cured under environmentally controlled conditions. The load cells shall be stainless steel and hermetically sealed at both the cable entry and the gauging area to prevent damage from water infiltration, and each load cell connection will be optically isolated to reduce possible damage from surge currents. The scale shall have self diagnostic capabilities able to identify load cell problems and potential failure by measuring load cell counts. Each load cell in the scale platform will automatically be assigned an ID by the scale indicator to provide this diagnostic feature. Digital Weight Indicator The digital weight indicator will be furnished in a NEMA 12 rated enclosure, and will be configured to perform both In/Out weighing and automatic Axle weighing functions. The instrument shall allow a 17 alpha/numeric character TCN Number and a separate ID to be entered for each weigh transaction. The instrument will internally store up to 1600 completed transactions for report generation. Printers and Peripherals One Ticket Printer will be provided to record time, date, TCN Number, ID Number, Gross/Tare/Net weights for IN/OUT operation, and Individual Axle Weights and Total for automatic axle weighing operation. One Form Printer for report generation of completed scale transactions. One Traffic Control Light for use during automatic axle weighing operation. Construction, Electrical and Installation Services Demolish existing concrete and remove spoils off site. Construct a shallow pit foundation with sump pump. Install scale and instrumentation to include necessary conduits. Construction to include provision of all required electrical service.
