Description
The Bureau Of Labor (BLS) requests quotes for cleaning services listed below. This request is in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)13,as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The total estimated amount for this proposed procurement is $13,500.00 I. Overview The Bureau of Labor Statistics require environmental computer center cleaning services that will remove harmful particulates and alleviate significant environmental deficiencies, providing a cleaner environment for both staff and equipment. II. Facility To Be Cleaned Bureau of Labor Statistics Computer Center 2 Massachusetts Avenue, N.E. Washington DC 20212. Room G180 The facility is approximately 10,700 square feet and consists of two separate rooms. The entire facility is on 18? raised access floor. III. Surface Floor Cleaning A. All floor surfaces shall be vacuumed and dust mopped to assure dust and debris are thoroughly removed. B. All floor surfaces shall be strip mopped being careful to contain the amount of water on the floor. C. All floors shall be strip buffed with a power buffer and non-metallic scrub pads to thoroughly remove ground in soil and stains. D. Any and all products used to clean the floor surface shall not reduce the static dissipating properties of the floor. IV. Subfloor Cleaning A. Remove all loose contamination from the actual sub-floor using HEPA filtered vacuum cleaners and dust attractive cloths. This includes the concrete slab, underside of raised access floor tiles, cables, floor tile pedestals, floor stringers and all mechanical or electrical piping. B. All tiles that have been removed during the cleaning process shall be returned to their original location. C. Tiles that are in fixed positions will be cleaned by removing adjacent tiles. D. Sub floor void drains shall be cleaned of all debris and contaminants to ensure proper drainage. E. Extreme caution must be taken to ensure that the temperatures and relative humidity conditions are maintained while the panels are out of the floor. F. During the cleaning process all precautions must be taken to ensure that the ADP equipment itself will not be disrupted, nor disruption to the leak detection system and/or the fire suppression system. V. Ceiling Plenum Cleaning A. Remove and clean all particulate matter from the top sides of the drop ceiling. B. Vacuum and clean all exposed surfaces of light fixtures and ceiling vents. C. Tiles removed for cleaning will be returned to their original location. D. The underside of all ceiling tiles will be vacuumed. V. Pricing of Services A. Cleaning of entire center B. Provide quote for Initial cleaning and every 3 months for a year period Not to exceed one year from date of award in quarterly increments Offerors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting quotations. All quotes received within ten (10) days after the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. The purchasing activity is not responsible for locating or securing any information which is not identified in the quotation and reasonably available to the purchasing activity. All Quotes shall be submitted to BLS, Room 1830, 2 MASS. AVE. N.E., Washington, D.C. 20212 no later 3:00pm EDT, July 14, 2003, and be clearly marked with RFQ# BLS-03-25. The point of contact for all information is listed above. If your response is not received by the date/time and at the location specified in the announcement, it will not be considered. No hand carried quotes will be accepted. Offerors may download the RFQ by accessing the FedBizopps website at :www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the FBO site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Fax proposals are encouraged and must state name, address and solicitation number. An original copy of the proposal shall follow by mail. Quotations may also be submitted electronically provided that all the necessary documentation requested in this RFQ is included.
