- Description
- This is a notice of intent to award on a sole-source basis for the commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12 procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice; a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) intends to contract with Nassau County Parks & Recreation Municipal Rifle & Pistol Range, Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, NY 11554, for use of the firearms and pistol range and classrooms for quarterly firearms qualifications and inspections for the period of 10/01/2003 through 09/30/2004. Service will be provided to: DHC, New York District, 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278. Facility must be located within close proximity to JFK Airport, and meet federal health & safety standards. This contract is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with Nassau County Parks & Recreation under the authority 41 U.S.S. 253 ( c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 unless additional sources are located. This notice is being solicited on a sole-source basis unless alternate sources are located.
