- Description
- The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical School and Health Sciences University, Bethesda, MD intends to procure the on-site remedial and preventive maintenance for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) VAX, Alpha systems and various peripheral equipment (hardware and firmware). Coverage shall include parts, labor, and transportation. The Contractor shall provide (a) remote diagnostic console (on-call maintenance) support - this support will assist Government personnel to verify the nature of a system problem prior to initiating a request for on-site maintenance support; (b) remedial maintenance - this support shall be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; and (c) preventive maintenance - preventive maintenance is required at regular intervals, once a quarter.
