- Description
- This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format of the FAR as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-27. The Regional Contracting Office, Marine Corps Base Hawaii intends on procuring a Firm-Fixed price contract for Sewage Lift Stations degreasing services, with a Base period of July 1, 2003 through September 30, 2003, and two (2) 12-month option years thereafter. The work will cover 9 sewage lift stations located at various locations on Marine Corps Base Hawaii. This procurement is Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS and the small business size standard for this procurement is 562998 and $5.0 M respectively. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration database to be eligible for a Department of Defense contract award. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. An optional site visit is scheduled for 04 June 2003 at 9 am HST. Please meet at Bldg 209, Marine Corp Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. By electing not to attend the site visit, you assume the risk of, and agreed to be bound by, whatever conditions exist at the site that would have been disclosed by a reasonable site investigation. In addition, the technical proposal may be downgraded due to errors or omissions caused by failure to attend the site visit. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible quoter whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate quotations: 1) Technical 2) Past performance 3) Price Options. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). Solicitations will be available on or around 05/27/03. Award will be made based on Best Value Determination.
