Description
Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to rehabilitate ESD Coos Bay, ANT Coos Bay and Station Coos Bay. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: STATION COOS BAY: (a) Remove and dispose of the existing window in the west wall and part of window lower wall, to prepare for new exit door and new window; (b) Install new vinyl sliding window and exit door, concrete landing, metal railings, concrete exit stairs and exterior concrete walkway; (c) Remove and dispose of existing ceramic tile wainscot and setting bed; (d) Install new thin-set, ceramic mosaic tile, water-resistant gypsum wallboard wainscot; (e) Remove each existing separate fan and light switch in each head of the berthing rooms. Replace wiring as required. (f) Install new combined fan/light switch in each head; (g) Remove all loose existing coating on the interior south concrete masonry wall and prepare wall surface and apply new paint; (h) Repair existing and install new soffit vents; (i) Remove any loose coating and prepare existing exterior wall for new painting; and (j) Paint exterior walls. ANT COOS BAY: (a) Remove and dispose of existing composition shingle roofing; (b) Remove and dispose of any existing dry-rot sheathing; (c) Install new composition shingle roofing and flashing; (d) Remove and dispose of existing lean-to roof structure and construct a new gable roof to match the adjacent structure; (e) Install new composition shingle roofing; (f) Remove existing patched concrete on the west end walkway of the Main building and repair and patch existing walk deformities on the east and west ends of the Main building. ESD COOS BAY: (a) Remove and dispose of existing vinyl siding; (b) Remove and dispose of existing composition shingle roofing; (c) Install new smooth, fiber cement, lap siding over existing sheathing and new weather-resistive building paper; (d) Install new composition shingle roofing, wall and edge flashing; and (e) Remove any existing dry-rot sheathing and existing dry-rot wood trims on the exterior and interior. Replace damaged sheathing and wood trims with new materials. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance period is 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Process. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The applicable NAICS code is 236220, Small Business size standard is $28.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered. The solicitation can be downloaded from (http://www.eps.gov) on approximately 03 December 2002. If it does not appear on that date, please check back daily. Due date for bids will be 01 January 2003.
