- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR Maintenance Agreement for Electro Dynamic Vibration Test System. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions received in response to the synopsis/solicitation. Question 1. Who is the incumbent performing contractor? Any prior contractors performing this work for JSC? Answer 1. There is currently no contractor performing the work. The former contractor was Ling Electronics, Inc. (The manufacturer) Question 2. Is the equipment available for inspection prior to proposal submittal? Or is there a blackout? Answer 2. It has been determined an inspection will not be given due to the equipment being a standard commercial item with an extensive detail on its maintenance history given in the synopsis/solicitation. This equipment has been well maintained and housed in a controlled environment building. Question 3. Is a maintenance history available? Answer 3. The significant maintenance history was provided in the synopsis/solicitation. The due date for receipt of offers IS NOT extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on June 18, 2003. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
