Description
NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ)] for the following Commercial item: SPACE FLIGHT QUALIFIED ACCUMULATOR: Salient features: 2.4 inch diameter, 1.6 inches length, weight not to exceed 1.0 pound, maximum design pressure of 121 psia with proof pressure of 182 psia, displacement capacity of at least 2.0 cubic inches at 100 psia and 120 degrees Fahrenheit, material to be Inconel 625 throughout, lift-off pressure minimum of 15.0 psia with reseat pressure within 3 psia of lift-off pressure, internal leakage less than 1X10-4 scc/sec gaseous helium, external leakage less than 1x10-6 scc/sec gaseous helium, fluid connection to be MS33649-04 with lock-wire provisions, minimum 100 full stroke operating cycles, 15-year shelf life, natural frequency greater than 35 Hz for all 3-axes, operating fluid will be space station Internal Thermal Control System (ITCS) water as defined in SSP30573. Acceptance testing shall include Proof Pressure test, Random vibration test, Lift-off & re-seat pressure test, Displacement capacity test, Internal Leakage test, and External leakage test. Additional acceptance requirements include inspections (for weight, dimensional envelope, plumbing interface, workmanship, compliance to drawings, contamination) and certifications (materials, cleanliness, number of operating cycles at time of delivery) The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334519 and 500, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFQ 03-C24-001 is on or about 06/26/03 with an anticipated quotation due date of on or about close of business, 4:30 pm, 07/10/03. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
