- Description
- NASA/GRC has a requirement for a "DS1103 PowerPC Single Board Control System Development and Implementation Package" which consists of a PPC Controller Board with 128MB of global RAM, a connector/LED combination panel for DS1103, a Control Development Package, containing Real Time Interface (RTI) Software, ControlDesk Standard Developer Software and MLIB/MTRACE Software, a Microtec PowerPC Cross Compiler and C language host interface library. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from dSPACE Inc. dSPACE is the only source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirments. The Control System Development and Implementation Package must be purchased from dSPACE to ensure full compatibility with an existing dSPACE system at the NASA GRC. This dSPACE family of real-time hardware and software is produced by and licensed exclusively from dSPACE, Inc. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) in FAR Part 13. The Sole Source is under the authority of FAR reference: 13.106-1(b)(1). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Organizations that believe they are capable of performing the described work may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 8, 2003. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
