Description
SOLICITATION NO. N68335-03-R-0022 AND ALL AMENDMENTS WILL NOT BE MAILED TO CONTRACTORS. The solicitation will appear on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/, Select ?Business?, then ?Doing Business With Us?, and ?Open Solicitations?. This procurement is Piston Assembly, P/N 626960-3, Manufacture IAW NAWC DWG 626960 Revision A, 1 First Article Unit and 8 Each Production Units with technical data, and an Option to procure 2 Each Production Units with technical data. The Piston Assembly is the component of the Catapult Assembly, which is connected to the Shuttle through the Carrier Deck. When the Launch Valve is opened, the Piston Assembly is driven by steam to drive the Shuttle, down the Carrier runway, to launch the aircraft. First Article Unit/Test Report shall be delivered 425 days after date of contract, all production units shall be provided 12 months after first article, at the rate of one per month. The Option period shall be 450 days after contract award, option units shall be delivered 12 months after option exercise. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Lakehurst, NJ. Packaging and packing unless otherwise indicated shall be in accordance with MIL-STD 2073(STANDARD PRACTICE FOR MILITARY PACKAGING) (Reference Document MIL-STD-130K) Identify in accordance with MIL-STD-129N (STANDARD PRACTICE FOR MILITARY MARKING). This procurement contains Technical Data subject to Export Control Laws, see note 8. The Government intends to award a contract to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. Evaluation factors will be discussed in detail in the solicitation. All contractors seeking award must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database.
