- Title: Program Research and Development Announcement (PRDA) for Spectrum Efficiencies. In response to a request by the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E), the Advanced Range Telemetry (ARTM) Joint Program Office (JPO), Edwards AFB, CA, has a requirement for research in the area of Test and Evaluation telemetry operation in the 3-30 GHz frequency range and Military Operations in Urban Terrain for Test & Evaluation. For fiscal year 2004, the ARTM JPO will be soliciting abstracts in six (6) different research and study areas for projects of 12 months duration or less (follow-on funding may be available for additional research studies or future demonstration projects). The topic areas are, 1) Hypersonic Communications Studies, 2) Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT), 3) Automated Spectrum Management Tools and Systems, 4) Demonstrated technologies, 5) Optical Communications, 6) System Tracking Test. The solicitation package, PRDA, is scheduled for issuance on or before July 22, 2003 with abstracts due on approximately August 22, 2003. It is anticipated that awards will be made in January, 2004. This will be a unrestricted acquisition.
