- Description
- The Office of Public Health and Science (OPHS), Office of Minority Health (OMH), through the Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a twelve month sole source simplified acquisition to the Tennessee Department Health, Office of Minority Health. The purpose of this simplified acquisition is to improve the knowledge about health care and quality of life for the benefit of communities of color. This will enhance further development of cultural specific strategies to prevent disease and improve the adherence to clinical protocols for the control of chronic illnesses. Closing date for this announcement is July 11, 2003. The proposed simplified acquisition action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Contractors may forward capability statements to the referenced address within 15 days after the date of publication of this Notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
