- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, Bethesda, MD, pursuant to 41-U.S.C. 253(c)(1)?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a commercial item procurement for the purchase of overnight room accommodations for the participants of the NHGRI short course to be held August 11-15, 2003, at the National Institutes of Health. Facility must accommodate approximately 175 participants at a fee not to exceed the authorized government per diem rate. Easy and immediate accessibility to public transportation is required. The facility must be located approximately 300 yards from the Metro Station, no more than 1.5 miles from the NIH, and must provide continuous shuttle buses to NIH. The justification for this determination is based upon previous market research to locate a facility that can satisfy the requirements. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of date of notice to Elaine Shoaf at the above address or e-mail shoaf1@niehs.nih.gov for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. The NAICS Code/Size is 721110/$6.0M. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
