Description
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to obtain, on a sole source basis, additional Siebel Software licenses and maintenance agreements over a period of 20 months to support the CMS Next Generation Desktop (NGD) project. CMS conducted an open competition that resulted in the development of the Next Generation Desktop application on a Siebel platform. The Siebel application is a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software product. To support the rollout of the application and the Virtual Call Center Strategy (VCS) as it proceeds, it is necessary to purchase additional Siebel licenses. Since the development of the base application has been completed on the Siebel Service eHealthcare platform, the sole source purchase of Siebel licenses for the rollout of the software to the call centers is necessary to accommodate the NGD application platform. The NGD application is a web-based, zero footprint application that will be used to respond to Medicare inquiries from beneficiaries and providers/suppliers. There are no known Siebel resellers than Siebel itself. Entities that wish to demonstrate their capability to provide the service stated above should submit their qualifications in sufficient detail for the Government to make a determination regarding their assertion. Submissions should be addressed to the attention of Debra Hoffman, Contract Specialist, Fax number (410) 786-9088, Email dhoffman2@cms.hhs.gov. Questions should also be directed to Debra Hoffman at (410)-786-0517
