Description

The project consists of placing hot bituminous plant mix on a portion of Forest Service Road 2011 at Red Bluff Recreation Area. The work includes overlay of 1.4 miles of road, 20 camp spurs, 2 parking lots and asphalt patching. The project also includes adding parking space to five camp spurs involving placement of borrow, aggregate base, asphalt and seeding as staked in the filed. This work does not include the first campground loop. The project can be located from Potosi, MO, take highway 8 west 20 miles; then highway Y south for 12 miles; turn west on highway V for 6 miles; turn right on Forest Service Road 2011. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. This project is located on the Mark Twain National Forest, Iron County, Missouri. The NAICS code is 237310 and the size standard is $28.5 Million. The contract time for this project is 25 calendar days. This project is open to large and small businesses. A 20% bid bond guarantee is required. Successful contractor will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price prior to beginning work. The date for a site visit for this project will be listed in Section L of the Solicitation package. This is an Invitation for Bids (Sealed Bid) and will be available for download from this site on or about July 11, 2003.
