- Description
- The 11th Contracting Squadron has a requirement for a contractor to repair the HVAC, USAF Band Hangar, Facility 2. This competitive acquisition is for the repair and alteration work associated with the project entitled Repair HVAC, USAF Band Hangar, Facility 2, Project Number BXUR 29-6171, Bolling AFB, D.C. The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, transportation, supervision and other services necessary to complete all associated work. Work includes but is not limited to demolition, mechanical, electrical to install the EMCS to control new HVAC and lighting system throughout. New EMCS equipment must communicate and share information with existing EMCS. The brand name requirement for the equipment manufactured and installed by Siemens building Technologies previously Landis & Gyr Powers, Inc. In accordance with FAR Part 36.204, the magnitude of this requirement on terms of physical characteristics and estimated range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System code is 238220 with the size standard being $12.0 million. The period of performance period for this requirement is 277 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. This is a competitive best-value solicitation in which competing offerors’ past and present performance history and technical is more important than price. This procurement is 100% SET-ASIDE FOR CERTIFIED HUB Zone CONTRACTORS. This solicitation and specifications will be distributed solely on the World Wide Web at the following address beginning on or after 5 May 2003: http://www.eps.gov. Prospective offerors will be asked to register for this solicitation at the above referenced web site. All prospective offerors are responsible to visit the FedBizzOpps web site frequently and obtain any amendments or other information pertinent to this RFP. Also, each prospective offeror interested in submitting a proposal on this RFP must register by e-mail to: theresa.clark@bolling.af.mil in order to be placed on the source list and receive the project drawings which will be mailed to all registered offerors. Include company name, address, telephone/fax numbers point-of-contact and e-mail address. Offerors registering on the source list shall not conclude that they will receive a paper copy of the RFP, as no paper copies will be issued. Closing date of this solicitation will be 5 June 2003. NO PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE MAILED.
