Description
This is a synopsis of a requirement for ship repair. This is request for quotation (RFQ) number DTCG80-03-Q-3FAG49. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611 and the size standard is 1000 employees. The requirement is for the following: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, parts, services, and competence to perform the following for USCGC BUCKTHORN (WLI-642): 1.Renew chain stopper, 2.Replace potable water tank vent, 3. Inspect and test pressure vessels and relief valves, 4. Hydro-blast clean grey water and drainage piping, 5. Renew messroom paneling and molding, 6. Replace portlights, 7. Renovate wardroom and messroom. Performance period is September 2 to 29, 2003. Place of performance: Sault Ste Marie, MI. RFQ package and Specifications to be available electronically on June 20, 2003. The government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offer: Price and Technically acceptable. The proposed solicitation listed here is a total small business set-aside (FAR 19.502-2). Quotes are due on July 8, 2003 1600 Eastern Standard Time to: Commander (vpl-2) MLCLANT, 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
