Description

This procurement requires the contractor to provide engineering and training services which will be used to maintain the viability, effectiveness, and training readiness of the existing Strategic Weapons Navigation Systems and evaluation of the training on installed systems and their interfaces, training materials, and identification of improvements to the Strategic Navigation Training Systems to increase its effectiveness. The period of performance is 01 December 2003 through 30 November 2004. This effort will be negotiated with Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems, Mitchel Field, L. I., NY, the only known source having complete familiarity with the design of the Strategic Navigation Subsystems, complete knowledge of the design, test, and analysis data base which has been collected for the Strategic Navigation Systems during development and production, and complete familiarity with the training unique equipment and general procedures for the Strategic Training Subsystem Components. The negotiated effort will include an option provision to increase the level-of-effort items up to 30%. Security Clearance Required. See Note 22. ***** PR. No. 104769002/TLH
