- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for the supply and installation of two (2) each laser marking systems to mark and track rigging gear at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. They system shall interface to the in-house Access 2000 rigging inventory database currently in use at PSNS. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, transportation and supervision required in the specifications to provide this system and install it at PSNS. Place of delivery is Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. Delivery and installation required on or before 22 August 2003. The commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 1 July 2003 with a closing date of 11 July 2003. Per FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduced to 18 days from this announcement. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to joshua_c_carter@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. Please do not call with questions regarding the posting of the solicitation on NECO until after the posting date, 1 July 2003. This office will maintain no bidder list. No paper copies of the RFQ / amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. To be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
