- Description
- Off-load and landhaul services from Port of Benton to Hanford, WA. Annual requirement for a base year period of performance (estimated to begin January 1, 2004) with the possibility of (2) one year option periods. Approximate package sizes to be off-loaded, hauled, and placed in the disposal trench are: horizontal cylindrical packages, 1100 short tons, 42 feet long and 32 feet in diameter (Group A), vertical cylindrical packages 1600 short tons, 41 feet tall and 33 feet in diameter (Group B), and horizontal cylindrical packages, 1680 short tons, 46 feet long and 34 feet in diameter (Group C). Estimated quantities include 2 Group A and 2 Group C packages in the base year; 1 Group A in the first option year; and 1 Group A, 2 Group B, 1 Group C in the second option year. Complete specification requirements will be included in the solicitation. First shipment to take place as early as August 1, 2004. A technical proposal is required with each offer. This shall be an unrestricted solicitation. This shall not be a commercial (FAR Part 12) acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by FISC, Puget Sound. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http//www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring the site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or faxed. Electronic submission of proposals is not available at this time. Facsimile proposals will not be accepted.
